One Day 03:47
One day I’ll grow up Maybe someday soon And when I do I will come over and say hello to you But for now I’m young And a bit strung out Sometimes I sit and think and worry and then I just pout One day when we’re old I will pat your head And I will say aren’t you so glad that we are not yet dead You I’m sure will nod And smile your quiet smile Then say my dear you always worry, death lasts just for awhile Oh, oh Oh, wa-oh La la la la La la la la (x2)

What Obligation by P.K. Harmon To read Harmon's poetry and learn more about him, please visit http://www.servinghousebooks.com/harmon.html. Anthem for the Millenials Middle school popcorn bowl and penny candy The Willy Wonka art dealer is coming after me I try to hide in the forest but all the trees are glass I kick a trunk and watch it shatter all over the grass Jaded junkies always say yes to more icing They smear it on a broken mess and then they laugh and sing While bigwig bosses drink inside their bullet-proof gardens And I argue with old spirits trying to make amends Ambivalence is my boyfriend He wraps himself around everything that I touch Apathy is my lover Cause sometimes I think it’s all just a little too much Yes he helps me not care that it’s all a little too much The bank came into my home and took all of my stuff It really wasn’t that much artists are paid near enough I sat alone in my room and stared at the empty space In the end we’re all figurines living on borrowed grace I called out to my luck dragon and she came right away She blew fire on my life and then I knew I couldn’t stay Ambivalence is my boyfriend He wraps himself around everything that I touch Apathy is my lover Cause sometimes I think it’s all just a little too much Yes he helps me not care that it’s all a little too much The bank came into my home and they took all of my stuff But that’s okay cause in the end we’re all just figurines Yeah we’re all just figurines Yeah we’re all just figurines Like G.I. Joe and Barbie and American Girl Dolls So I called out to my luck dragon I called out to my luck dragon I called out to my luck dragon Yeah I called out And she blew fire! And she blew fire! And she blew fire on my life. Ambivalence is my boyfriend

Two deer stake out my tree A tree with limbs that cross and curve, weave a basket seat for basket cases to sit in and save the world. Let’s share, we can make symmetry. But muscular mama raises her hoof, shows me her square of collagen and bone. I will kick you in the head and let my fawn eat your flesh ‘cause we don’t let the human bring us down. In a bar under the Williamsburg bridge filled with baby mamas and hoochie mamas and your mama’s so big! I thrust out my hands in response to a shove. Wildcat sidekick pounces from behind, collects my skin under her beauty parlor nails, growling with the wrath of woman done wrong by a man she can’t let bring her down.

A very crazy man met me today Stumbled into the laundromat and raved He said, What an interesting mix of people in here, kinda makes me wanna reminisce, reminisce Told me 'bout his life as a scientist Claimed he traveled in time, met an alien He said, The human race is stuck in limbo, we don’t know when or how to let go, to let go To let go-o To let go His mania somehow seeped into me I wanted to know about his encounter I said, If the human race is stuck in time then that means we aren’t responsible for the future? You have it all wrong, my child Don't get lost at sea then expect to float home It’s important to feel, to faith, to find your way among all that meat on a stick All that meat on a stick Like I said, A very crazy man met me today
